Solutions Architect · Sales Engineer · Customer Deployed Engineer

Pre-sales is dead. Your best decade starts there.

The complete training system for the $250–450K technical seller path, from the readiness runway, through the interview loop, into your first year in the seat and the climb to Principal. Lessons with worksheets, weekly live teardowns, and an AI simulator that scores you the way real panels do.

Break in Master the craft Climb to Principal
Start here: the argument

The signature stopped being the finish line. Everything else follows.

Cloud and SaaS erased the line between selling and delivering. The customer re-decides every day, the usage curve is the real scoreboard, and the engineers who understand this are having the best decade of their careers. Nine minutes, five moves. This is the worldview everything here is built on.

The member lifecycle

One system for the whole arc, first cert to Principal.

Most career content starts at the resume. The actual journey starts 6–18 months earlier and doesn't end at the offer.

01 · RUNWAY

Become the candidate

Score your readiness on the six dimensions that real loops test. The right certs (and only those), 500-level depth spikes, stakeholder reps from the seat you're in.

02 · LOOP

Win the interview

The loop decoded from the scorecard side. Your narrative, your story bank, the mock demo round, rehearsed until the real room feels familiar.

03 · RAMP

Own the seat

Discovery, demos, POCs, objections, the account team. Your first year, taught by the craft tracks and rehearsed in the simulator.

04 · LADDER

Climb to Principal

Manufacturing principal-level scope, executive presence, and the promotion case that wins a room you'll never sit in.

Inside the community

Six tracks. Every lesson lands on an artifact.

No theory videos. Every lesson ends with a worksheet filled in, a recording made, or a plan posted for teardown.

Track 0

The Runway

The Readiness Map, certifications that signal, the T with 500-level spikes, stakeholder reps without the title.

Track 1

Break In

Role fit, positioning, the loop decoded, the mock demo round, offer & negotiation.

Track 2

Master the Craft

Discovery, demo craft, whiteboarding, POCs, objections, the AE contract, working backwards, the round table.

Track 3

Climb the Ladder

What Principal actually means, manufacturing scope, executive presence, the promotion case.

Track 4

Build, Don't Tell

Ship AI-built POCs in the meeting or same-day. It's the skill that defines the next decade of the role.

Track 5

Top Down, Bottom Up

Playbooks for every executive persona, CIO to CISO to CFO, and the practitioners who can veto you from below.

41 scripted video lessons
24 fill-in worksheets
13 AI buyer personas
3 live rituals, weekly to monthly
Weekly Demo Teardown

Bring a recording, get scored against the rubric, leave with the one fix that matters.

The Hot Seat

Run a live meeting against a coach playing this month's persona: the stability-obsessed CIO, the default-no CISO. Landmines included.

Monthly Build-Along

One scenario, four hours, everyone ships a POC. The flight simulator for the same-day build motion.

The simulator

Practice against the buyer who remembers everything.

Reps are the thing no book or video can give you. The simulator gives you unlimited rooms.

  • 13 buyer personas, from the whiteboard-hungry CTO to the CISO whose default answer is no. Each with a scoreboard, a nightmare, and landmines.
  • Scored like a real panel. Six dimensions, 1 to 5, the same rubric your interview loop uses. Bluffing caps your trust score at 1. That's the point.
  • Your progress, charted. Every scored session is saved, so you watch your scores climb week over week.
  • The Check Ride. The capstone: three meetings with a full buying committee that remembers every promise you make. Drop a commitment, fail the ride.

The founding offer

The Break-In Blueprint. Four weeks. A plan you're executing.

A cohort of 25. Nobody honest promises "hired in a month." The real promise: in four weeks you know exactly where you stand and exactly what to build, and you've already started building. A full year of membership carries everything after.

Week 1

Where you stand

Role fit + your Readiness Map, scored live on the six dimensions. You leave week one knowing your two gaps.

Week 2

The plan

Your Runway Plan: the one cert that matters (and the ones that don't), your depth spikes chosen through the three filters, your stakeholder reps calendared.

Week 3

The proof

Your first proof artifact, shipped, plus your 90-second transition narrative, drafted and recorded.

Week 4

The baseline

Your first scored simulator session sets the baseline number you'll spend six months beating. You close by presenting your plan to the cohort in three minutes.

Included with the cohort

  • 12 months of The SE Track community: all six tracks, the rituals, the threads
  • A block of scored simulator sessions + Check Ride eligibility
  • A comp-negotiation session with the coach, redeemable when you land the offer

Honest print, not fine print: real interview loops take 6–12 weeks and real runways take months. The Blueprint's promise is the map, the plan, and the momentum. The membership carries you the rest of the way.

The six dimensions the loop actually scores

The free self-assessment worksheet, plus the 9-minute manifesto and one useful email a week. No launch sequences, no countdown timers. Unsubscribe anytime.

You'll get the worksheet PDF immediately, then the weekly note. That's the whole deal.

Who's behind this

Fifteen years on both sides of the scorecard.

Built by a working principal-level technical seller with 15+ years across cloud, security, and AI, from enterprise architecture seats to the rooms where hiring loops are scored and promotion cases are argued.

Vendor-agnostic on purpose. No employer names, no product pitches. The craft here transfers to every platform company, hyperscaler, and startup, because earning technical trust works the same everywhere.

The proof is in the material. Watch the manifesto, download the Readiness Map, and judge the bar yourself.

Questions

Asked and answered.

I'm not ready to interview yet. Is this for me?

Especially for you. Track 0 exists because readiness starts 6 to 18 months before the loop: the right certs, real depth, stakeholder reps. Most members should start on the runway, not the resume.

I'm already an SA/SE. What's here for me?

Tracks 2–5: the craft (discovery through POCs and the account team), the climb to Principal, the AI-build motion, and persona playbooks for every executive you'll ever face. Plus the simulator, because the reps don't stop mattering after you're hired.

Is the $250–450K number real?

Yes. That's senior-to-staff level at hyperscalers and strong ISVs, total comp including equity. Entry points land lower. The band is the trajectory, not the day-one offer. Lesson 1.1 breaks down exactly how the comp mechanics work.

How much time does it take?

The runway runs on ~5 focused hours a week alongside a day job. The Blueprint is four weeks at roughly the same pace. Lessons are 12–15 minutes each, and every one ends with work you can show.

What's the guarantee?

Complete the Track 1 actions and one scored mock loop in your first 90 days. If your rubric score hasn't moved, you don't pay again until it does. No income promises, ever: anyone guaranteeing you a job by a specific date is running a different kind of business.

Is this affiliated with any vendor?

No. Everything is deliberately vendor-neutral: no employer names, no confidential material, no product endorsements. What's taught is the transferable craft.
